Punctuality.
You all know what this is about
Before I begin, I will admit I have no right to say this - but there is always a point to start things. And we really need to start on this.
The first thing that any organised group or person for that matter should observe is undoubtedly to respect time. Everyone's time is important and when I or someone else gets late - it is equal to insulting those poor chaps who turned up on time. Instead of adopting strategies like specifying half hour earlier than the intended time of action as buffer to allow for late-comers - isnt it easier for us to just come on time?
The bigger problem is when we have invited others too and they are there on time, while we show no signs of turning up! (Remember our KV incident?)
Let this be the first and most important rule we adopt for TidyCity. Everyone's time is important. And from now on, whatever time is fixed for the activity, those who are present then at the venue should start with it. Others can join whenever they come. But we may depend on one - for eg the one who takes a session - to start something - so those people should take extra care to be there. We will also end it at the time we specify.
I dont think we should try a penalty system. We should just be able to be on time for the sake of being on time - we are after all people who talk about changing attitude by making people want to do things for the sake of doing it than by force. So lets be the practising preachers.
From now. Hail Time.
Cheers
Cris
