Tidycity.org is a voluntary association started by a group of concerned citizens. We are not clean-up experts, neither environmental specialists. We are here to promote the idea of a clean surrounding, a cleaner world, around us.
Our aim is to spread a message, an awareness about keeping our cities clean. More than often it happens that we take it for granted that public places would hold all the trash we threw out, that it was not up to us to find the right place to dump waste. So when we finish a banana, we throw the peel on the streets, when we finish a chewing gum, we dispose it right there, when we want to spit we dont bother to find a bin. Its this mindset that we from tidycity are trying to change. We dont blame anyone for this. For when you grow up seeing these things, you are likely to take it as part of life – just like you dont stop to wonder about the walls and roof of your house you see everyday. Its just there!
Though our campaign, tidycity is trying to bring it to the attention of the people that they are not doing their part. We are trying to remind them certain practices that we should all observe, but dont – only because we just forgot about it. We are trying to convey a very important message – that every individual can make a difference! “What can one person do” – is the question most people ask. But what one person does can and will make a difference!
Tidycity started small and it is only starting to grow. Through our drive we hope to join all hands and work together towards a cleaner world.

one person can surely make a lot of difference.think about the atom bomb which is made up of the smallest particle of matter the atom.

id like to join u people to clean the city and to create more awareness. this is a good initiative. i was thinking about doing something but didnt quite have the idea to do it.

i came to know about this org from radio….and felt really happy in joining this team
.I have a dream .when I wake up I can hear sounds of birds becuase there is no sound pollution,in the street no one have to wear a mask.becuase there is no air pollution, peoples using waste boxes.I don’t how long I have to wait my dream comes true .but i know I have to do something.and now I’m in tidy city………come on friends…….lets get this done………,
totally bowled by the enthuasiastic youngsters who saw some visions ahead which would benefit the society…..lets make trivandrum a green city…..
